Junior Achievement (JA) of Kansas empowers young people to own their economic success.  Hundreds of volunteers from the business community volunteer to teach JA programs in grades K-8.

In the 2013-14 school year, Junior Achievement of Kansas will serve more than 26,000 children, inspiring kids to dream big and reach their full potential by teaching them about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

JA of Kansas Receives $25,000 JOBS Grant

 

WICHITA, Kan. – Junior Achievement (JA) of Kansas received a $25,000 grant to help the organization continue financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness education to more than 8,500 students in the Wichita area.

JOBS grants are provided by FHLBank Topeka to promote economic development initiatives that assist its members in promoting employment growth in their communities. Forty-one JOBS grants totaling nearly $1 million have been awarded this year. The grant for JA of Kansas was announced at a check presentation ceremony Tuesday at Meritrust Credit Union in Wichita.
